Well – it looks like a brain to me, but if you go to Ross Mayfield’s weblog you can find a link to the Opte Project’s map of the internet.
Somehow it’s nice to have an actual picture of the network information has to travel before researching it.
What was that quote that Al Gore used in Brazil? Lifted from Nathaniel Hawthorne, I think.
